Backend / Mobile Developer (m,f,d)

Berlin, Germany

We’re looking for a solid Backend Web & Mobile Developer! 

Do you love solving problems? Do you want your code to be seen and experienced by thousands of users moving the sustainable fashion industry forward? This will be a challenging yet rewarding responsibility!

Qualifications

What you’ll do as Backend / Mobile Developer at Sqetch:

  • Collaborating directly with the development & design teams.
  • Create code based on a clear direction and roadmap.
  • Using test-driven development to write well-tested code.
  • Think agile, think scalable!
  • Fixing bugs fast

Experience and skills that are important for success in this role:

  • Experience using technologies and frameworks like – but not limited to – Node.js, PHP, Python, React, Javascript, AngularJS, HTML CSS3.
  • React Native, Android & iOS.
  • Experience with any object-oriented language and willingness to learn our tech stack.
  • Curiosity and passion to constantly learn new things; ability to change and adapt.
  • Experience with working in a cross-discipline environment with designers and other engineers to produce and vet ideas through prototyping early concepts

Communications & Community Manager Internship (m,f,d)

You have a passion for e-commerce, entrepreneurship, creativity and communication? You want to know more about the design thinking process and how it is actually applied? Sqetch is the B2B sourcing platform and matchmaking network for the fashion and textiles industry with a focus on sustainable innovation and transparent supply chains. With our sustainable innovation agency – Sqetch Agency – we support sustainable development through a range of platforms and services to catalyse the digital and sustainable transformation of the textile and fashion industry.

Your tasks

  • Understand and deploy best practice communication methodology across all communication channels.
  • Identify and capture the needs, requirements and aspirations of our Sqetch users community.
  • Assist in developing strategies to further grow the company.
  • Oversee and execute the customer acquisition strategy, market research & benchmarking.
  • Provide users with the level of customer engagement and satisfaction they expect.

Your Profile

  • Internship of 3-6 months, available 20-40 hours per week.
  • Graphic Design background and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (German preferable).
  • Working knowledge of Google Business Suite (Google Drive).
  • Independently and efficiently coordinate with team members on projects and tasks related.
  • Experience and interest in sustainable fashion and textile innovation is an advantage

Project Manager / Business Analyst (m,f,d)

Your tasks

  • Responsible for the delivery of medium to large scope business projects that often represent cross-organizational initiatives.
  • Own the objectives and key deliverables for the project; identify and track key measures of success and ensure all timelines are met.
  • Provide regular status reporting on plan progress.
  • Identify project resource requirements and work with stakeholders to ensure adequately skilled resources are available to deliver on project commitments.
  • Implement corrective actions to keep the project on track and within budget. Develop recommendations and/or solutions for identified issues and escalate critical issues to the COO.
  • Onboard and guide new project partners and service providers.
  • Streamline and kickstart efficient communication between all stakeholders.
  • Preparing, facilitating and following up design sprints, workshops, meetings, conference calls and business reviews.
  • Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing process and data requirements.
  • Supply data-driven evidence to support the benefits of the change proposals.
  • Support building business cases for the proposed improvements.

Your Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Project Manager and proven experience coordinating multiple projects at one time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (German preferable).
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Must be team-oriented, and comfortable working in an open environment (i.e. where nearly all documentation and workflows are viewable by appropriate project teams and the project management team).
  • Will be a result-oriented, disciplined and efficient self-coordinator.
  • Experience and interest in sustainable fashion, digitalization and textile innovation is an advantage.
