1. Can you tell us what your company is all about?

Garment Resources started as a textile buying agency in 2003 in Karachi, Pakistan. Founded by Adnan Abbas, who already had a working experience of 6 years in the textile industry of Pakistan, it is now a full-fledged garment manufacturing unit. From outsourcing the production to manufacturing woven goods, the transition happened in 2008. We have over 20 years of experience and are always looking for new collaborations with brands and designers.

2. Why is Pakistan a good place to manufacture apparel? 

Pakistan has a long tradition of working with the highest quality fabrics, learning and advancing in skills such as embroidery, weaving, and hand skills. Today we offer brands low production costs for high-quality apparel and textiles, something not many countries can offer. We deliver to all corners of the world and have quick lead times for samples and production. 

3. What advice would you give new designers and start-up brands?

We offer complete garment manufacturing and textile sourcing solutions for start-ups, clothing brands, and workwear companies. Garment Resources, under the head of Al Anwar Apparels, started manufacturing for brands that didn’t want to compromise on quality yet couldn’t afford exorbitant production costs. Lower MOQs also give us the advantage of offering products to small brands and businesses, something we feel, should be promoted. As an initiative to boost entrepreneurship, we are also actively involved in the production of garments for start-up companies. Not only do we provide a platform for them to experiment with their designs, but we also guide them in the industry from our experience of over 12 years.
